AMSTERDAM TOUR
Our drivers know the capital of the Netherlands like the back of their hand. They will tell you all about the rich history of the city. We drive through Amsterdam and stop at all special buildings, churches, bridges and canals. Some walks will be included to show you the special hidden places of Amsterdam. If you desire so you can visit one of the many museums of Amsterdam: the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Rembrandt House, the Anne Frank house and many others. We will take you to neighborhoods that are off the beaten track, such as the Rivierenbuurt with the beautiful Berlage houses. Modern Amsterdam is also included in the tour with a visit to the islands situated in the estuary of the IJ, where in the past decades lots of architecturally interesting houses were built. This tour takes at least three hours.
HOLLAND TOUR
The Holland Tour follows a very nice route passing various small cities north of Amsterdam. We stop at various places for a short walk. The first stop is Broek in Waterland, where you can watch various typical old Dutch wooden houses in an area full of water. This village is like a living museum. After this stop we drive through the beautiful Dutch landscape with many cows, sheep and windmills to the old village of Monnickendam. Here we visit a farm that makes cheese and wooden shoes the traditional way. After lunch we drive straight to the famous fishermen’s village Volendam, situated on the former Zuiderzee. After a visit to Volendam your driver will bring you to the famous cheese city Edam. This tour takes at least 6 hours and can be combined with a visit to the Zaanse Schans or the less touristic windmills of Schermenhorn.
ZAANSE SCHANS
This village in the estuary of the river the Zaan gives an excellent impression of what a typical village in this area looked like in the 17th and 18th century. It has characteristic green wooden houses, bridges, workplaces of craftsmen, historic windmills and cozy shops. Besides the many sights that are worth a visit, there are various nice restaurants and museums in the area. This tour takes at least three hours.
FLOWERGARDEN DE KEUKENHOF, LISSE
When the tulips are in bloom, a visit to the Keukenhof is definitely worth a visit. We drive through the beautiful dune area behind Haarlem to the Bollenstreek (the flower bulb-area) around Lisse, after which we arrive at the most beautiful and famous flower attraction of the Netherlands; the Keukenhof. Be amazed by the colorful fields full of tulips in this unique garden and do not hesitate to ask the greenkeepers for professional advice. This tour takes at least 4 hours and can be combined with a lunch at the beach of Noordwijk.
THE HAGUE, SCHEVENINGEN AND DELFT
The Hague is a city with an extraordinary rich history. Historically it is where the government of the Netherlands is located and nowadays the city still accommodates the government and parliament. Internationally the Hague also plays an important role, as the domicile of the International Court of Justice of the United Nations. Of course, we visit the Mauritshouse where you can view an exceptionally rich collection of 17th century paintings. After this visit we walk to the Binnenhof where the parliament is located. Then we drive past Paleis Noordeinde and the Vredespaleis, past Panorama Mesdag which represents the 19th century Scheveningen and the miniature city of Madurodam to the seaside resort of Scheveningen. After a view of the Noordzee we continue to Delft, where the world-famous Delft-blue ceramics come from. In the city center we visit the church where the grave of Willem van Oranje is located. This tour takes at least 8 hours.
FLOWER AUCTION AALSMEER
The Netherlands is the world’s biggest exporter of flower and also has the world’s largest flower auction in Aalsmeer. At this auction flowers are traded that are shipped all over the world. You can follow the full auction process; from the auction to the transport. We arrive at the auction after a beautiful trip past the Amsterdam forest. This tour can only be done early in the morning and takes at least 3 hours.
HOGE VELUWE
Past the dignified mansions your driver will bring you to the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterloo where you find the second largest collection of Van Gogh in the world: the collection entails almost 90 paintings and more than 180 drawings. In the Van Gogh Gallery you can visit an exposition of 40 master pieces of Van Gogh that changes regularly. Besides paintings of Van Gogh master pieces of modern painters such as Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondriaan are exhibited. Another sight that is worth a visit is Paleis Het Loo, where Queen Wilhelmina lived. Close to Otterloo is the city of Arnhem where during World War II one of the largest airborne operations took place. Various museums in the area tell the story of that operation. This tour takes at least 8 hours.
ZEELAND - BRUGGE
Through the province of Zeeland abounding in water, your driver will bring you to the old Flemish trading town Brugge. The journey brings you past the impressive Zealandic Deltaworks, which were built after the flood disaster in February 1953. Through Zeeuws-Vlaanderen the journey continues to Belgium and the beautiful Medieval town of Brugge. Here you can admire the overabundant cultural heritage. We walk through the beautiful streets and take a boat tour on the canals. We can highly recommend paying a visit to a cafe, brewery of restaurant. This tour takes at least 10 hours.
